After many months of battling with winter conditions, the final was played on a warm spring afternoon, as you can tell from the attached photo.
Jim Mildner and Tom Murray progressed via the singles and knockout phase to compete in the Final which went to a 2nd extra hole.
The front nine saw both players level, before Tom Murray took a 3-hole advantage by the 14th hole. A fight back by Jim saw both players level standing on the 18th tee. The hole was halved, which meant extra time was required.
The pair halved the 19th hole, before, Tom Murray took advantage of his shot on the 2nd hole to win it with a 5/4 score.
A very tight match played in a sporting manner. Congratulations go to both players for a fine match and grateful thanks to the referee John Kelly.
