Richard Fox and Dave Lippitt contested a close fought final of the Vets Trophy, played throughout in good spirit.
Richard held a narrow lead over the first eleven holes, with both players missing opportunities to win holes (or retrieving unpromising situations- depending on your point of view).
A splendid par four on the twelfth hole brought David level, followed by three tense halved holes.
The deadlock was eventually broken on the two par threes, Richard finally winning 2 & 1.
