Scratch Cup Saturday 19th September

Scratch Cup Saturday 19th September

The Scratch Cup was played on a cool September morning, with a little drizzle making an appearance during the front nine. Just enough to remind everyone that the summer weather we’ve been used to had officially packed its bags!

Three tee times took to the course, with all nine players competing for the prestigious Scratch Cup trophy.
The gentlemen played from the white tees, the ladies playing from the yellow tees.
Chris Shotton carded a very respectable gross 77, which saw him finish in 3rd place on countback ahead of Lee Machin.

Richard Shirley put together a solid round of 72 gross to take 2nd place, narrowly missing out on the top spot.

The ultimate winner was Jake Jeff-Johnston, who produced an excellent round of 69 gross, including three birdies and four bogeys. A fantastic performance and a well-deserved victory. Jake continues to demonstrate the progress he is making, and if this form continues, he looks to have a successful golf career ahead of him.

Congratulations, Jake, cover picture shows Jake with the trophy.

Finally, thanks to Lee Machin for coordinating the competition.
