The re-arranged Club 28th Annual General Meeting, due to be held on Thursday 8th July 2021, will go ahead but due to the continuing Government restrictions in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will now be conducted in a different format.
Adopting this adapted format has allowed us to continue with the revised date for the 28th Annual General Meeting of Thursday 8th July 2021. (This will also incorporate the Senior Section meeting and election of Junior Section Officials).
In accordance with the usual practice, we are calling for nominations for Committee positions, as detailed on the AGM agenda, posted on the website and Club V1 Apps. The closing date for nominations is 5.00 pm on 11th June 2021 (nomination forms can be downloaded from the website or are available upon request from the Club Secretary).
It is therefore our intention to hold a quorate general meeting with only one or two attendees (Management Committee) and the rest of the members in attendance by proxy.
To assist us in overcoming the challenges of holding the annual general meeting during these uncertain times, we are encouraging all members to appoint the ‘Chair of the meeting” or the “Club Secretary” as their proxy, with voting instructions. The nominated proxies would attend the meeting in person and would vote as directed to pass or otherwise the relevant resolutions.
We would therefore request that Members DO NOT attend the AGM but appoint the ‘Chair of the meeting” or “Club Secretary” as their proxy, in advance of the meeting but NO later than 2.00 pm on Thursday 1st July 2021.
The proxy form to be circulated will have a list of all resolutions for members’ approval and will allow each member to select how they wish to vote.
