Foursomes Cup Sunday 13th September
The day got underway in damp and drizzly conditions, making for a challenging start to the Foursomes Cup.
Despite the weather, which thankfully did improve, the competitors showed plenty of determination and produced some excellent golf.
The early pace was set with an impressive score of 67 by Dave Long & Ian King which looked likely to stand as the benchmark for the competition. However, the standard did improve as conditions improved and Lee Machin and Kevin Holmes came in with an outstanding 64, a score that looked unlikely to be bettered.
That was until the next pairing of Jon Cofield and Anthony Pallante emerged with a similar score, but with a better back 9 hole score.
Congratulations go to the newly crowned Foursomes Cup winners 2026, Jon & Anthony on an excellent performance contested by 30 pairs on the day.
